Availability and quotes still work. To book direct, send David a message at https://www.thestumblingiguana.com/contact#quote or call 404-919-1945, or book on Airbnb or VRBO (links below). The steps below describe the flow when online booking is open. 1. Open https://www.thestumblingiguana.com/book and choose check-in and check-out dates on the live calendar. Booked nights cannot be chosen. In seasons marked Saturday to Saturday, stays must start and end on a Saturday. 2. Enter adults (at least 1) and children. The total is at most 14. 3. Press "Get my quote" to see the nightly rent, cleaning, taxes, the 3% card fee, the payment schedule and the total. 4. Press "Continue", then enter the guest's full name, email, phone and home address. 5. Press "Review agreement", type the full name, draw a signature, and accept the agreement. 6. Press "Sign and continue to payment" to enter a card on Stripe's secure page. The card is authorized, and charged only after David approves the request. The guest must sign the agreement and enter their card themselves. Dates are used only if the calendar would allow choosing them (open, inside the booking window, and on Saturdays where a season requires it). Guests are used only if adults is at least 1, children is 0 or more, and the total is at most 14. Invalid values are ignored. Add #availability to jump to the calendar. The booking page needs JavaScript. Its HTML only says "Loading the live calendar" until the script loads availability, then fills in the dates and guests from the link. It does not fetch a quote by itself: the guest presses "Get my quote". To check a price without a browser, call /api/quote below with the same parameters. Once the page has loaded, the calendar day buttons carry data-date="YYYY-MM-DD", and the fields have the ids db-adults, db-children and db-get-quote. ## Read only JSON endpoints All dates are YYYY-MM-DD. Money is in integer US cents. Check-out is exclusive: the check-out day is open for the next arrival. - GET https://www.thestumblingiguana.com/api/availability: { updated, booked: [{ start, end }] }. Booked ranges from Airbnb, VRBO and direct bookings; end is the check-out day. Returns 503 if a calendar cannot be read. - GET https://www.thestumblingiguana.com/api/rates-summary: { fromNightlyCents, minNights, earliestCheckIn, latestCheckOut, seasons: [{ name, start, end, saturdayToSaturday }] }. The lowest nightly rate, the shortest minimum stay, and the booking window. Season start and end are MM-DD and may wrap the new year. - GET https://www.thestumblingiguana.com/api/quote?checkIn=YYYY-MM-DD&checkOut=YYYY-MM-DD&adults=N&children=N (the same parameters as the /book link; guests=N, the total of adults and children, also works): 200 { quote } with checkIn, checkOut, nights, guests, nightly [{ label, nights, nightlyCents }], rentCents, cleaningCents, taxes [{ label, percentage, cents }], totalCents, cardFeePercent, cardFeeCents, chargedCents, parts [{ part, share, dueDate, cents }], airbnbTotalCents and savingsCents. 400 { error } when the stay breaks a rule (dates, minimum nights, guests, at least one adult), 409 { error } when some nights are booked, 503 { error } when rates or calendars cannot be read. Errors are written for guests. ## Frequently asked questions - How many people can stay? Up to 14 guests are welcome! - Is there a bathtub? 4 of 5 en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers. The bunk room has a shower/tub combo. - Is check-in or check-out flexible? Ask when booking, we try to accommodate depending on the next arrival, though an additional fee may apply. - Are towels provided? Yes, bath, hair, makeup, hand, dish, and pool towels are all provided. - Can we drink the tap water? Yes, the house has a water filter.
